Our approach to sponsorship

EFG International and its global family of wealth management businesses is active across a range of sporting and cultural sponsorships. These are designed to connect with the diverse interests of its clients and employees.

In addition to sailing, EFG’s sponsorships include:

Polo: EFG is the private bank for polo, and supports a wide range of teams and events around the world. Among many others, it is proud to sponsor the Away team at Cartier International Polo, London; the EFG Bank team during Palm Beach Season / 40 Goal Challenge; and the International Polo Tournament, Sotogrande.
Dressage: EFG is a sponsor of Knytkalaset, an umbrella group for a number of elite Swedish dressage riders. EFG’s support enables Knytkalaset to extend its activities including establishing incubators for young riders; extending the duration of its training camps; and organising seminars for its riders by well known equestrian and sporting personalities.
Motorsport: EFG Is the private bank for historic motor racing. It is a proud sponsor of Le Mans Classic; Grand Prix de Pau; Gstaad Classic; and Classic Endurance Racing. It also has strong partnerships with the British Racing Drivers’ Club (as a sponsor of its Rising Stars programme) and Bonham’s, the classic car auctioneers.
Golf: EFG Bank has a strong partnership with the Hong Kong Golf Association, and its EFG Bank Young Golfers’ Foundation promotes the development of young golfers in Hong Kong. EFG supports young players competing overseas, provides scholarship schemes, and enables new tournaments to strengthen the base of younger players.
Ice hockey: EFG is a partner and key private banking supporter of Genève-Servette Hockey Club in Geneva. The club is one of Switzerland's principal ice hockey teams and is in the Swiss National League. It is an important part of Geneva's sporting life, with a history stretching back around 100 years.
Jazz: EFG is an important sponsor of the London Jazz Festival, the UK's largest annual celebration of jazz which every November. The EFG International Excellence Series is a programme of four world class performances from some of the leading lights in jazz. In addition, EFG sponsors various concerts in partnership with leading Singapore-based jazz pianist Jeremy Monteiro.
Art & design: EFG supports a wide range of art and design events around the world. Recent sponsorships included the summer sculpture exhibition at the Exposition Centre Le Metropole in Monaco; the CIFO Grants & Commissions Program Exhibition in the US; the Pavilion of Design & Art, London; a partnership with ArtNexus in Colombia; and the Taipei Art Fair.
Classical music: EFG is the principal partner of the Monte Carlo Philharmonic. This represents a relationship with a prestigious orchestra which has a high profile concert season both at home and on the international stage. In the UK, EFG is the principal partner of Southbank Sinfonia, an orchestra that provides a springboard into the music profession for talented young players.
Literature: In the UK, EFG has joined forces with The Sunday Times to launch the world’s richest award for an individual short story. The Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award is an annual competition looking for the finest talent in this exciting genre which has been enjoying a renaissance in recent years. Results are announced at the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival in March.
