In 2010, EFG International joined forces with the Viper 640 Class Association to create the EFG Bank Viper Pan-American Championships.

The 2010 Championships comprise a circuit of three Viper 640 regattas (see racing schedule).

The Championships provide a grand prix circuit for what is the fastest growing one-design, three-person sport boat in the Americas. It will promote a Pan-American concept, encouraging sailors from across the continent to join in friendly competition. Teams from Canada, the USA, the Caribbean and Europe have signed up for the circuit, and include several past Olympians.

The Viper 640 is a high-performance, one-design sport boat. It is the fastest 20' sport boat One-Design Class on the North American sailing circuit.
